Have you ever planned your life as if you were the one in control? I have a few times, and I go through all the phases of stress and confusion when it doesn’t all go according to plan. But when I look back at how far I’ve come and the opportunities I’ve had, I thank God for rocking my boat even when I questioned why.
Four years ago, I was a Sales & Marketing Coordinator about to graduate WT with a degree in Wedding & Event planning. Everything was going according to plan… until it wasn’t. The job that had promised me advancement placed some uncomfortable situations in my hands forcing me to put in my two weeks’ notice, and the degree I had worked so hard for was no longer the right career path for me. Decorating has always been a passion of mine. I am so glad my mom allowed me to paint my room all sorts of crazy colors and rearrange the furniture every week just for fun. So with no clear path in mind I decided to try my hand at something I had always enjoyed. I was overjoyed and relieved when I was offered a position at Panache. Not only had God provided a job for me within 2 weeks of leaving my last one, but I was able to pursue a passion. I instantly clicked, and I enjoyed every aspect of my job. I was living my hobby.
I have absolutely loved this job. The company has for sure grown, but so have I. I’ve learned how to style a home, different aspects of staging, and gained so much experience helping clients. Panache has become home, and one I never thought I would leave. But as I’ve learned, never say” Never” to God, and in doing so, I will be leaving Panache at the end of May to move to Colorado. I am so excited for this new adventure, and I pray I find a job as great as Panache.
I want to thank all you amazing Panache customers who have come into Panache over the last few years. Many of you have welcomed me into your homes and allowed me the opportunity to create a space you love. Others of you have let me help you pick out gifts for every event and season of life or trusted me to help you find the perfect fabric for your chairs. I have grown to know many of you on a personal level, and I want to thank each one of you. Panache customers really are the best.
I also want to thank all the girls at Panache past and present for taking a chance on me and allowing me to be creative and take on new things. I have loved working with y’all and learning more about the world of design and life. I will always remember all the glitter, questionable jokes, pregnancy stories, and the transformation from old Panache to new. And I will always remember to do things “The Panache Way.”
I love y’all so much and will miss ya’ll more than you know!
